Monocular handheld monoculars and smartphone kits, under your brand

A monocular is half a binocular — lighter, smaller and cheaper to ship — and a popular e-commerce and travel item, often sold with a smartphone adapter and mini tripod. PorroForge supplies 8x25, 10x42 and 12x50 class roof prism monoculars and kits to outdoor and travel retailers, e-commerce sellers and optics brands. We specify realistic magnifications and avoid inflated “80x100” style claims. See also our binoculars range.

  • 8x25 pocket, 10x42 and 12x50 handheld formats
  • Roof prism, BAK4 or BK7, coatings per SKU
  • Smartphone adapter and tripod kits
  • Realistic specs — no inflated magnification claims

Monocular formats

  • Pocket monoculars (8x20 to 10x25) — keychain-size for hiking, travel and events.
  • Handheld monoculars (10x42, 12x50) — brighter, rubber-armored, often with a tripod thread.
  • Smartphone kits — monocular + clamp-style phone adapter + mini tripod; popular with e-commerce sellers.
  • Zoom monoculars — quoted only with realistic ranges; high-magnification handheld use is hard to hold steady.

Honest monocular specs sell better

Monocular listings are known for inflated claims. Configurations follow the same rules as binoculars — magnification × objective in millimeters, with exit pupil = objective ÷ magnification (12x50 ≈ 4.2 mm). Field of view, close focus and any waterproof claim are stated per model. Clear, accurate listings reduce returns; see the specs guide.

No certifications, ratings or test data claimed. We describe what each product is, how it works and how it can be customized. We do not display certification marks, publish optical test data, factory capacity or customer cases on this site; optical figures are stated per model on its specification sheet. Test reports and certification documentation can be provided or arranged per order for the buyer’s market, as the brand owner requires. Regulated items: laser rangefinders (laser classification and labeling, e.g. FDA/CDRH laser notice in the US, IEC 60825-1), digital night vision binoculars (IR illuminator eye safety and export classification; image-intensifier Gen 2/Gen 3 devices are not offered) and children’s products (e.g. CPSIA / CPC, small parts, EN 71) are confirmed per SKU and per order with the supplier and an accredited lab. Never point a telescope, binocular or eyepiece at the Sun without a certified solar filter. Labeling and claims are the brand owner’s responsibility.

Frequently asked questions

Monocular or binocular — which should I stock?

Binoculars give a more comfortable two-eyed view for long sessions; monoculars are lighter, smaller and cheaper. Many retailers stock a monocular as an add-on or travel item beside binoculars.

Do smartphone adapters fit all phones?

Clamp-style adapters fit a wide range of phones; compatibility is described per model and should be stated carefully in listings.

Do you publish field of view, close focus or waterproof ratings?

Not on this site. Field of view, close focus, eye relief, weight and any waterproof or fog-proof claim belong to a specific model and are stated on that model’s specification sheet with the quotation. If your packaging or listing makes a performance claim, it should match the documentation for that SKU — the specs guide explains what each figure means.

What is the MOQ and lead time?

Both are quoted per SKU. MOQ depends mainly on the model (an existing optical design vs. a new housing or optical design), magnification and objective size, prism glass and coatings, armor color, logo method, packaging and the documentation your market needs; lead time depends on customization, documentation and season. Send your quantities and we confirm both on the quotation — see also the packaging & MOQ section of our specs guide.

Are your products certified or tested?

We do not display certification marks, ratings or test data on this site. Test reports and certification documentation can be provided or arranged per order for your market, as your brand requires: tell us the destination market, sales channel and the standard or document your retailer or marketplace asks for, and the quotation confirms which documentation applies to each SKU and how it is obtained (existing reports for a model, or testing arranged with a third-party laboratory). See the export compliance section of our specs guide or ask on the inquiry form.
