Spotting scope angled and straight zoom scopes for birding, hunting and the range
When binoculars are not enough — shorebirds across a lake, game on a far hillside, hits on a paper target — buyers reach for a spotting scope. PorroForge supplies angled and straight zoom spotting scopes in 60 mm, 65 mm and 80 mm class objectives, with BAK4 prisms, multi-coated optics, optional ED glass, and kits with tripods, window mounts and smartphone digiscoping adapters, to birding, hunting and shooting-range retailers, nature centers and optics brands. Optical figures are confirmed per model.
- Angled and straight bodies, zoom eyepieces
- 60 / 65 / 80 mm class objectives, ED options
- Tripod, window mount and phone adapter kits

Spotting scope types
- Angled (45°) scopes — easier to share at different heights and to look upward; the usual choice for birding and observation from a tripod.
- Straight scopes — faster to aim at a target and handy from a vehicle window mount; preferred by many hunters.
- Compact scopes (around 50–60 mm) — light enough for hiking and hunting packs.
- Full-size scopes (around 80 mm) — brighter views at higher zoom for shorebirds, waterfowl and target ranges.
Zoom, objective and what “20-60x80” means
“20-60x80” means a zoom eyepiece from 20x to 60x and an 80 mm objective. Higher zoom shows more detail but a dimmer, narrower and less steady image — a large objective and a solid tripod matter more as zoom rises. Heat shimmer often limits useful magnification outdoors. ED glass reduces color fringing at high zoom. Configurations, field of view and close focus are specified per model; the specs guide explains the concepts.
Kits and accessories
Spotting scopes sell best as kits: tripod (tabletop or full-height), car window mount, smartphone digiscoping adapter, stay-on case and lens covers. Interchangeable eyepieces and adapters are covered in accessories and eyepieces.

Documentation

No certifications, ratings or test data claimed. We describe what each product is, how it works and how it can be customized. Test reports and certification documentation can be provided or arranged per order for the buyer’s market, as the brand owner requires. Regulated items: laser rangefinders (laser classification and labeling, e.g. FDA/CDRH laser notice in the US, IEC 60825-1), digital night vision binoculars (IR illuminator eye safety and export classification; image-intensifier Gen 2/Gen 3 devices are not offered) and children’s products (e.g. CPSIA / CPC, small parts, EN 71) are confirmed per SKU and per order with the supplier and an accredited lab. Frequently asked questions
Angled or straight spotting scope?
Angled scopes suit tripod use, sharing and birding; straight scopes are faster to aim and work well from a vehicle window mount. Many retailers stock both.
Is a higher zoom always better?
No. At high zoom the image becomes dimmer, narrower and more sensitive to shake and heat shimmer. A larger objective, ED glass and a sturdy tripod matter more.
Can you include a phone adapter for digiscoping?
Yes — universal or model-specific smartphone adapters are common kit items.
Do you publish field of view, close focus or waterproof ratings?
Not on this site. Field of view, close focus, eye relief, weight and any waterproof or fog-proof claim belong to a specific model and are stated on that model’s specification sheet with the quotation. If your packaging or listing makes a performance claim, it should match the documentation for that SKU — the specs guide explains what each figure means.
What is the MOQ and lead time?
Both are quoted per SKU. MOQ depends mainly on the model (an existing optical design vs. a new housing or optical design), magnification and objective size, prism glass and coatings, armor color, logo method, packaging and the documentation your market needs; lead time depends on customization, documentation and season. Send your quantities and we confirm both on the quotation — see also the packaging & MOQ section of our specs guide.
Are your products certified or tested?
We do not display certification marks, ratings or test data on this site. Test reports and certification documentation can be provided or arranged per order for your market, as your brand requires: tell us the destination market, sales channel and the standard or document your retailer or marketplace asks for, and the quotation confirms which documentation applies to each SKU and how it is obtained (existing reports for a model, or testing arranged with a third-party laboratory). See the export compliance section of our specs guide or ask on the inquiry form.
