Night vision binoculars digital night vision with IR illumination — under your brand

Night vision binoculars are a fast-growing line for outdoor retailers, wildlife watchers, campers and e-commerce sellers. PorroForge supplies digital night vision binoculars only: a camera sensor and internal display, a built-in infrared (IR) illuminator, and usually photo and video recording to a memory card. Export-controlled image-intensifier devices (Gen 2 / Gen 3 and similar) are not offered, and neither are weapon-mount sights. IR illuminator eye-safety documents and each model’s export classification are confirmed per SKU and per order. For daytime optics see the full binoculars range.

  • Digital sensor + display, day color / night monochrome modes
  • Built-in IR illuminator with adjustable levels
  • Photo and video recording, rechargeable or AA power
  • No Gen 2 / Gen 3 image intensifiers; export classification per SKU

How digital night vision binoculars work

A lens focuses the scene onto a CMOS image sensor that is sensitive to near-infrared light. In darkness, the built-in IR illuminator (an IR LED, commonly around 850 nm, which shows a faint red glow, or around 940 nm, which is less visible but gives shorter range) lights the scene; the processed image appears on an internal display viewed through the eyepieces. In daylight the same device shows a color image. Because it is digital, most models also record photos and video.

Viewing distance in full darkness, resolution, magnification (optical and digital zoom), battery life and recording format are specified per model — we publish no range or performance figures.

What we do not supply

  • Image-intensifier tube devices (Gen 1+ through Gen 3, “white phosphor” or similar) — many of these are export-controlled and are not offered.
  • Weapon-mounted night vision or thermal sights, or anything sold as a weapon sight.
  • Laser illuminators — our digital models use LED IR illuminators only.

If a request falls into any of these categories, we decline it rather than “find a way”.

IR safety, electronics and export — the process

  1. Export classification. The classification of each digital model for your destination is confirmed per SKU and per order before shipment; we ship nothing whose classification is unclear.
  2. IR illuminator eye safety. LED IR illuminators are usually assessed for photobiological safety (for example IEC 62471); the documents your market needs are confirmed per SKU with an accredited laboratory.
  3. Electronics and batteries. Electrical, EMC and radio documents (for example FCC in the US, CE/UKCA in Europe) and, for built-in lithium batteries, UN 38.3 transport documents — confirmed per SKU and per order.
  4. Use rules. Some jurisdictions restrict night vision for hunting; labeling, warnings and marketing for your market are the brand owner’s responsibility.

No certification is claimed on this site. See the compliance process in our specs guide.

Who buys night vision binoculars from us

Outdoor and camping retailers, wildlife and nature-watching shops, security-minded consumers through e-commerce sellers, and optics brands adding a digital line beside their binoculars and rangefinders. Private label runs through OEM; stock models through wholesale.

No certifications, ratings or test data claimed. We describe what each product is, how it works and how it can be customized. We do not display certification marks, publish optical test data, factory capacity or customer cases on this site; optical figures are stated per model on its specification sheet. Test reports and certification documentation can be provided or arranged per order for the buyer’s market, as the brand owner requires. Regulated items: laser rangefinders (laser classification and labeling, e.g. FDA/CDRH laser notice in the US, IEC 60825-1), digital night vision binoculars (IR illuminator eye safety and export classification; image-intensifier Gen 2/Gen 3 devices are not offered) and children’s products (e.g. CPSIA / CPC, small parts, EN 71) are confirmed per SKU and per order with the supplier and an accredited lab. Never point a telescope, binocular or eyepiece at the Sun without a certified solar filter. Labeling and claims are the brand owner’s responsibility.

Frequently asked questions

Do you supply Gen 2 or Gen 3 night vision?

No. We supply digital night vision binoculars only — a camera sensor and display, with a built-in infrared (IR) illuminator. Image-intensifier tube devices (Gen 2 / Gen 3 and similar), which are export-controlled in many countries, are not offered, and neither are weapon-mount sights. IR illuminator eye-safety documents and the export classification of each digital model are confirmed per SKU and per order before shipment, and local rules on using night vision for hunting are the brand’s and end user’s responsibility.

What is the difference between 850 nm and 940 nm IR?

850 nm illuminators usually light the scene further but show a faint red glow; 940 nm is close to invisible to the eye but typically gives a shorter illuminated range. The wavelength is specified per model.

Can the night vision binoculars record video?

Most digital models record photos and video to a memory card; format and resolution are specified per model.

Do you sell thermal imaging devices?

Thermal imaging is not part of this program. This page covers digital (CMOS + IR) night vision binoculars only.

What is the MOQ and lead time?

Both are quoted per SKU. MOQ depends mainly on the model (an existing optical design vs. a new housing or optical design), magnification and objective size, prism glass and coatings, armor color, logo method, packaging and the documentation your market needs; lead time depends on customization, documentation and season. Send your quantities and we confirm both on the quotation — see also the packaging & MOQ section of our specs guide.

Are your products certified or tested?

We do not display certification marks, ratings or test data on this site. Test reports and certification documentation can be provided or arranged per order for your market, as your brand requires: tell us the destination market, sales channel and the standard or document your retailer or marketplace asks for, and the quotation confirms which documentation applies to each SKU and how it is obtained (existing reports for a model, or testing arranged with a third-party laboratory). See the export compliance section of our specs guide or ask on the inquiry form.
